money matters
Let me start by saying that I could not be more proud of the kids who sang on Sunday. They did SPECTACULAR!!!! I literally was bursting with how well they did!! Thank you so much for letting me have the privilege of working with your children each week. I love what I do and there is no other place I would rather be on Sunday morning. Your children are a blessing in my life and for that I am very thankful!!!
This week in construction Company we are talking about money and material possessions. Our story this week can be found in Matthew 19:16-28. It is the story of a rich man who approached Jesus to ask what he could do to get into heaven. Jesus told him to first keep all the commandments. Jesus then told the man to sell all of his possessions and give his money to the poor. Finally, Jesus told the man to follow Him. The man went away very sad because he had a lot of possessions.
This passage is very important because Jesus explains in this passage what it means to really be a Christ follower. Jesus does not necessarily ask us to sell everything that we have and give away all of our money, but he does ask that we do not put our faith and hope into money and things. Jesus requires that we put Him first…always! When we put Jesus first in our lives we realize that material things may fill us up for a moment, but the moment is fleeting and we always need more and more to keep us full. We are always full when we put Jesus first in our lives.
Merry Christmas!
Hey guys! I have posted the curriculum we will be using for Christmas under Curriculum Downloads. Feel free to go ahead and download the lessons. I am sorry the lessons are all crazy on that page, I have tried everything to make them line up, but I cannot figure it out!
As always, let me know if you have any trouble getting the lessons off the blog. Thanks for everything you do!
New Section on the Blog!
Okay, I have created a new page that is at the top of the Blog called Curriculum Downloads. If you click on that link it will take you to another page where I have uploaded all of the curriculum for the next 7 weeks. I will post the Christmas curriculum there as well as soon as it becomes available. Please use that page to download the curriculum for your weeks and the other weeks as well so that you are up to date with what is going on and also to fill your notebooks. If you have any questions or problems using the page, please email me at natalie@stmarkschurch.org and I will do everything I can to be sure this is convenient.
Thanks for all you do and have a great week!
